I was notified late Monday that the evacuation orders will be lifted and we can return! We remain under a Level 2 evacuation, and must remain ready to evacuate again if the fire changes directions. As of now, the active fire line is several towns away. Anyway, I will be checking things out, but plan to jump right in and start packaging orders to get them out as quickly as possible.

I would like to thank each and every one of you who have been patiently waiting for your order to ship. Your kindness, thoughts and prayers during this very stressful week is most appreciated.

Wildfire Update - Sunday, September 13, 2020 9:30 am PST

Still under evacuation orders. The authorities keep saying, "Maybe tomorrow", which is very frustrating. There is a windstorm expected, which is causing the authorities to be overly cautious. For now I am stuck at home in a Level 1 evacuation zone.

Wildfire Update - Friday, September 11, 2020 3:00 pm PST

The main fire causing the evacuations is only 20% contained. They are struggling to gain control over it with being extremely short handed. A fire of 30,000 acres is normally staffed by up to 1,200 firefighters; yet they are stretched so thin with multiple fires burning up towns, there are only 350 available. We have firefighters coming from North Dakota, Mexico and a few other areas to help with this massive fire and try to save the local communities.

Wildfire Update - Wednesday, September 9, 2020 2:15 pm PST

Shortly after I arrived at the business location I lost electricity. And about 10 minutes later I was evacuated from the location. So many road closures it was difficult, but I made it home. And am safe for now. My house is now in a Level 1 zone.

Towns/areas being evacuated now include Trail, Shady Cove, Butte Falls, Eagle Point which are all to the east of Medford. Yesterday's evacuations of Ashland, Talent, Phoenix and south Medford have not yet been able to return to see if they have a home to return to. And north of Medford, in Central Point, they were evacuated yesterday but have been able to return today.

Thank you everyone for all your prayers and thoughts as this area continues to deal with this uncontrolled firestorm!

Wildfires and Evacuations in Southern Oregon

Due to high winds and a severe drought much of Southern Oregon is on fire. In Medford, where I live, the south end of town was at Level 3, forced evacuation. I live on the north side of town and it is currently Level 2, be prepared. There were so many fires yesterday that they closed I5 from the California border to Gold Hill, a 40 mile stretch of freeway.

Where the business recently moved, Shady Cove, is in the same boat, Level 2. I am going to try to get there today to check things out. But, honestly, I do not know if I will be able to get there as a 10,000 acre fire was started yesterday afternoon and is very close to the community as well as to Hwy 62. Also, at this point I do not know if shipping is an option.

I know many who have lost everything due to these fires, including friends and family. Please be patient as my community deals with these fires burning down our towns.

I will post an update once I figure out what has been affected by the fires

COVID-19 Delays & Shipping Updates

Unexpected Delivery Delays

Many areas across the US are experiencing civil unrest, which is causing unexpected delivery delays in many locations. Please be prepared for possible delays when ordering at this time.

Also, some of our products are running very low or are out of stock. This is due to inbound deliveries being delayed. As soon as the product arrives the inventory will be updated.

Shipping Delays Caused by new COVID Regulations

Effective March 26, all carriers have indicated to expect delays in deliveries due to a reduced number of flights and due to limited truck cargo space. None of the carrier will guarantee delivery schedules until further notice. For updates, please refer to the carrier websites. Thank you for your understanding as we navigate what our new normal will become.

Medication News

Metronidazole Powder Finally Arrived

Finally received a bulk shipment of Metronidazole Powder. Inventory has been updated. Hopefully when this shipment is depleted the shortage will have ended.

Chloroquine Phosphate Held by FDA

I tried to place an order for Chloroquine Phosphate today, but was informed that the FDA is continuing to hold all containers and have not released them as yet. Their concern surrounds the fact that people were self-medicating due to statements made that it cured COVID-19; and a couple of individuals ended up losing their lives.

While the FDA is re-evaluating releasing Chloroquine Phosphate for ornamental fish treatments, I am working to attain Quinine. This is the product Chloroquine is derived from and has been approved for many decades for ornamental fish use. And, it originally was replaced with the derivative as quinine had stopped working due to a resistance buildup. Hopefully reintroducing it we will see an effective treatment once again.
